December 2016 BEK Update

There continue to be tons of reports of encounters with black eyed kids hitting the Internet and while many of the same elements show up time and again, we continue to see some variations. Reports of the creepy kids have become so widespread that they have now become firmly planted into pop culture with movies, television and comics utilizing the little monsters.

First up this month, a report posted at UFO Sightings Hotspot involving a New York man named Terry who rode the subway back and forth to work on a daily basis. He encountered a black eyed kid one day and became obsessed with trying to figure out what "it" was. As described in the account:

"The child was only three feet tall, wearing a baseball cap. The youngster wore his cap visor down, like an army soldier. Other than that, Terry thought it was a normal ten year-old...until it looked back at him. Its eyes were shiny and wet, like the eyes of a lower animal."

Terry became so consumed with trying to figure out exactly what the entity was that he lost both of his jobs. Then, he found himself face to face with the boy who became angry at Terry's lack of compliance:

"Suddenly the small boy became very angry. "It's your responsibility to look after me! I am helpless!"

Next, an account from a tourist from Michigan traveling in Europe. Late one night, strange sounds in the hotel hallway lead the witness to open the door and she encountered a creepy black eyed girl in a white nightdress.

"She started smiling. I could see that her teeth were almost similar to a vampire."

The witness retreated but of course, the BEK proceeded to knock at the room door screaming to be let inside. A disturbing experience indeed:

Finally, Aftershock Comics continues its creepy horror series, B.E.K. Black Eyed Kids by Joe Pruett with art by Szymon Kudranski. I'm writing a regular column for the series now, detailing some aspects of real black eyed child encounters. Check with your local comic shop, or order the series online.
